TCMGA is pleased to offer the following varieties of Caladiums-Red Flash, Carolyn Wharton, Candidum, White Queen, Florida Sweetheart (NEW), Calypso (NEW) and Blaze (NEW) this year. These bulbs are #1 size and will be 10 bulbs for $12. We are also offering 3 varieties of Elephant Ears, including Alocasia, Yellow Dragon (NEW) and Colocasia.
The ordering information including pictures is now live on this website. This is a prepaid online event, open from January 22, 2025 to March 6, 2025. We are Open to the Public, so order early to ensure your choices are available. To order, click on the top left drop-down menu button on the website header to ‘SHOP TCMGA’. Click on the “TCMGA Spring 2025 Bulb Sale-Open to the Public January 22 to March 6”. Scroll over each caladium and elephant ear picture, click on it so you can make choices for all the available purchases.
Arrangements for the Pick-up of the bulb orders will be targeted for April 25th– before the recommended planting time after Mother’s Day, when the soil temperatures are warm enough.
Look for more detailed information on your email, approximately 1 to 2 weeks before pickup of you bulbs.
NOTE:
In Caladiums, the bulb size has no bearing on the size of the plant leaf or the height of the plant. The size of the bulb only has a bearing on the number of leaves that will grow per bulb. We will be receiving #1 size (large) bulbs in this order and we are selling 10 bulbs per bag at $12 per bag.
It is best to plant these bulbs when the soil is warm, around 60 degrees, or after Mother’s Day. Plant after the risk of frost has passed and daytime temperatures stay above 70 degrees. Again, the recommended planting time for Caladium bulbs is following Mother’s Day when soil temperatures are warm.
The Elephant Ear bulbs we are offering, are 9 to 11″ in circumference. These large tubers grow into big plants with strong stems and abundant foliage, beautiful for both in-ground and container gardening.
